I'm off to BC now, see you guys on the 6th!
My site has finnaly done it! A postiive result on a search engine. Thank you microsoft, now how about a job? Oh yeah, just type in softcore porn and boom! I'm #15!
As some of the sharper eyed may have realized, there is a new blog linked on my sidebar. Yeah, Rosa got knocked down a notch so I could place Sayer's new blog on the top of the list. I guess I have to give him top spot after he let me leave work sooooooo many times (I think it was 14 straight Monday's) to make Edo runs. Man that's what I should have before I leave, a nice rice bowl. MMmmmm, rice bowl.

I'm leaving for BC in less than a day! Heading off to Vancouver, Victoria, Surrey, Burnaby, Whistler, Kamloops, Kelowna and Nanaimo. Where the fuck is Nanaimo anyway? And do I have any readers from Nanaimo? And further more, how the hell did they get a Toys R Us store out there? I thought Red Deer and Lethbridge were bad, but Nanaimo? Who the hell would want to live in Nanaimo? I know they got those bars that they are famous for, that are full of sugar and what not, but I'm not eating that more than once out there. Nanaimo! Hey kids, let's plan a vacation out to Nanaimo. Alright, I'll lay back making fun of a town I've never been to (or heard of) for a bit.

So I'm leaving in less than 24 hours. Should be good, I gotta stop by chapters now and pick up a couple (nudie) magazines for the plane ride. 5 hours to Vancouver, then another couple to Nanaimo.

Ok ok, here's the rest of the blog:

Just got back from the jays game. First off, thanks to DP for getting kick ass seats! Section 113a, Row 4. Good work buddy! For those that don't know, it's about half way between the first basemen and the outfield fence along the foul line. Man was there a lot of scoring. Too bad DP couldn't show up to my house when he was supposed to (he tried to do a Hairy Greek impression by showing up 1/2 hour late). As it stood, we missed most of the first inning (but saw a couple runs). Delgado hit a monster homer off the top of windows restaurant that actually bounced twice on the pexiglass before it went down. That guy is definetly first half MVP.

Highlight of the night was me getting to my seat and seeing some 300 pound oaf spilling his fat over to my seat. So what do I do? Well what any normal warm blooded person would, I get a hot dog, nachos and a large sprite, sit my ass down, and eat it all in front of him (yeah, it's called metabolism buddy, get some!). Oddly enough, there weren't any good oneliners from the fans. You gotta go to Buffalo to hear those I guess. But all in all, a good night was had by myself.

Oh yeah, I saw Garry (aka The Beer Man!) there. If I didn't waste all my money on those nachos and hot dog trying to make fatty feel bad about himself so he'd leave and give my breathing room, I might have bought a beer off of him. Ahh well, I'm going to BC in 2 days!
Ewww, bloggers new interface sucks (well I liked the older one better). Couldn't blog yesterday because blogger was down. So here's today's blog:

From the you know you are whipped when files:

Secretary comes to ask me what day I want off. Canada Day is Tuesday, stores will be open, so we get to choose if we want Friday, Monday or Tuesday off. I'll be in BC from Saturday June 28 to July 6, so the decision for me was a simple one, Friday. For the "other" coop, the secretary says "maybe you wanna ask your girlfriend before you decide what day you want off". I laughed when I heard that one. Made a whipping noise and went to my corner. "other" coop got owned massivley by the secretary!

You think that with an extra day off, I would be able to have an extra long blog today, but that is all. Later!

Happy birthday to my blog!

It's been one year to the day since I started this blog and in that time there have been many, many imitators. I could name the many other people who have tried to make a blog to imitate me, but then that would bring down the level of my blog (yes, these are the same people that said my blog wouldn't last more than a week (*cough* hairy greek *cough*). But this is a celebration of my blog, not a stroking of my ego, so I won't make fun of people.

In other news, SRL had their sendoff race last night. Here's the condensed recap:

practice - i suck diddly ucked.
qualifying - 3rd overall.
quater final - started on pole. stuck my car in the first turn (wasn't bumped), caused a massive pileup. finished 4th. some guy named boost monkey actually won the race (I know, I thought old people weren't allowed to win either).
semi final - started 3rd, went wide into turn 3, got passed, couldn't make up lost ground, finished 4th.
fimal - started on pole. needed a win to claim the SRL drivers title for the night and down 17 points going in. Naturally I won, lapping all but 1 racer to win yet another SRL drivers title. I have to go really far back to see when the last time somebody beat me at prokarts was.

So there ya have it, the birthday blog. Let's all have a beer and salute Stu's Life!

I'm showing Sunny how to post
Monday is race day. Man I can't wait until 8. Boost Monkey seems to think that people get faster with age. That's why he's so old. Somebody should tell him the opposite is true, that's why the young gun always wins! DP (see you got your mention) wants to find the route to victory lane, but so far the only place he's going to is losers lane. Yup it's going to be a great night tonight, complete with pre race trash talk, post race gloating and the morning after blog.

I was in a good mood before I started writing this blog until I saw the condition of our isle in the warehouse. It's horrible. It's pathetic. It's not my problem because I'm going to BC next week! Man, I should have bought that digital camera when I had the chance. Alas, I'm hoping to pick one up before the Indy (get some nice pics of cars, if at all possible). Any donations? I'm still waiting on a government cheque (I applied 4 months ago and still nothing).

Time for a Sunday night (Monday afternoon if you live by Rosa) update. Went roller blading today. Cleaned out the air filters for my furnace. It seems some peopel can't take the heat anymore. It was only 25 today and already my mother/brother are bitching about the temperature. I'm a freak of nature. Hot/cold weather doesn't bother me at all. I had a pair of jeans on today when I went to see 2 fast 2 furious and my brother looked at me like I was on crack. I told him "but the air conditioning is going to be on in the theatre." He didn't like that comment too much. So we get in the theatre, and I take off my sandals and put my feet up on the seat in front of me (exposing my toenails to anybody that wants a peak at Stu's bunions). So what does balding brother do to keep up with me? Takes off his running shoes. Takes off his socks and shows the whole theatre his bigfoot impression (minus the big feet).

Got some krispy kreme doughnuts after the movie. Haven't had them in a while and don't plan on having them any time soon. It's not that I don't like them, it's just the wall of icing sugar they go through on that conveyer belt kinda kills my appitite (and the fact that all the fat people always have a couple dozen of the doughnuts when they leave).

So that's how I spent my sunday. Oh yeah, movie review. 2 fast, 2 furious was alright, but the actors in it (except for that black guy) were horrible. Black guy was good in the movie.

June 21, 2003

Check out EnSabac's redesign. Probably the best redesign for a blog that I've seen in a long long time.

Oh yeah, SRL is this Monday at prokart again. Who's coming? So far, it's Boost Monkey, Myself and DP. Are you in or not?

Checking out The Professor's site, you gotta wonder what they are publishing in Austrailian newspapers. Rosa, could you please expand on this for me?
Bah, my network card burned out on me last night. So this house was without an internet connection for 24 hours. Many thanks go out to Zero Signal for stepping up and supplying me with a Windows XP cd and a USB ethernet adapter (and for remembering the phone number to rogers tech support). Couldn't have done it without ya bud!

So I set up my good old stugautz@rogers.com email account with outlook. Click on the send/recieve button and what do I get? 504 e-mails baby! Yup that's what happens when you store a copy on rogers servers. Now I have to remember my other passwords.

I'm tottaly addicted to super mario advance 2 now. Played that game for 6 hours the last 3 days at work. Yes I know I should be doing work, but we are ahead on our project so some free time was well desereved. I can't wait to take this game to BC with me next week. I'm gonna pick up sonic advance 2 as well and maybe that baseball game that looks pretty good. I have not yet decided. Anybody know a good site to get GBA roms from? I wanna test it out before I buy.

That's about it. Beer is good. Work is not.

June 20, 2003

StuGautz will never have to leave his room if he builds one of these. :)

June 19, 2003

Didn't blog this morning, so I'm blogging during lunch. I got ball hockey tonight, and I haven't trashed talked anybody in the office yet. I better start doing it soon because there is only 3 hours left in my day. But then again, that's what the last hour is for I guess. So really there's only 2 hours left. Man I'm going to be sore tommrow, I haven't played hockey in 2 weeks (or done any physical activity aside from walking up to the bar and running away from big black bouncers).

Yeah, it's a slow day today. My shout outs appear to be not working right now. I don't know why, they'll fix themselves later on (they always do).

June 18, 2003

Wanted: Somebody who can find me a copy of this prank call
Was about to update my blog when the boss came around, so it got put on hold, then I accidently closed the window, so long story short, I lost a blog today. But today was the day of the Toys R Us garage sale. I picked up a whole wack of things including a car adapter for my game boy, a logitec wing man rumblepad for my PC ($3!!! can you believe that deal???) a couple foam rockets with rubber band power and a few other items. Oh yeah, and Toys R Us tossed in the beige drunk hat for free (complements of UbiSoft, but the Toys R Us logo is on the front). So I'm happy. I spent 2 hours trying to assemble a rubber band powered plane today (ages 6 and up my ass). I finally got it flying, about 25 seconds of air time before it crashed. I'm happy with the $1 I spent on it.

It seems me and Rosa are a match made in blog heaven :)

June 17, 2003

I'm begining to think not having a coffee this morning was a bad idea. I almost fell asleep at lunch today while I was trying to read the paper. Then I went down to my corner of the warehouse, looked at my screen, openend my eyes and realized that I lost 10 minutes. I also drool when I sleep. Good thing I have my back to everybody.
Yay, got to work on time today, I played a little trick on myself. I said if I can leave the house by 10 to 8 then I'll have enough time to stop off for a coffee. Well I left at 10 to 8 but then I changed my mind and decided to stick it out until I get to work (where it's free coffee all day long). So I made it to work a little bit early today, and since the other coop covered for me last night, I'm covering for him right now.

SRL: Boiling Point (there is zero hype to this race right now so think of a better name) is only 6 days away. I miss karting. The races usually make for great blogging material. I played Gran Turismo 3 until 2am last night. Damm you DP for lending me that game, don't you realize I have to sleep? I figure if I get enough GT3 practice, it'll make me a better racer on the track. That reminds me, I must pick up a memory card tonight for my PS2 (just got it yesterday, thank you to the great people at Toys R Us for supplying me with a refurbished model for only $100). I also rented NFL 2k3, great game if you are into football. It took me a while to learn the plays, but slowly I'm understanding the playbook. Soon I'll be able to hit those crossing patters just as the reciever gets open. My timing is horrible right now in the game.

Yeah that's good enough for a blog right now.

June 16, 2003

Calgary: Drove 2 hours north from Lethbridge to Calgary. No big deal I guess. The first night we were there, we went to one store that was still under renovation so there wasn't much work to do. So we finished what we had to do, and still had time left over to do another store. Got through the second store which gave us all of Friday morning off. Slept in Friday morning. Friday afternoon, we drove down to Banff. Really really really nice town. A must go if you ever are in the area. The mountains are nice, the girls are hot and the air is clean. What more could you ask for? I wanna go back, but alas I've got a job to do, money to make and school to go to. On the way back, I saw the Olympic Village with the bobsled track and the ski jump hill (well from the car at least). It was a nice site to see. Calgary actually maintained their facilities unlike Montreal who just let their venues go to waste. Friday night we did the final store for Alberta (rubs away a tear). After that we went back to the hotel drank some beers and fell asleep. Next morning we woke up, had lunch and went to the airport for my flight back.

That's my Alberta voyage in a nutshell. I'll have a more traditional blog up tommrow.

June 15, 2003

I can get 2 cities on today's update because basically, nothing much went on.

Red Deer: Drove 2 hours south from Edmonton. Lots of nothing out there. Lots of nothing. Look left, farms. Look right, farms. Look ahead, farms. Look behind, well you get the picture. Funny thing about the drive is I'd look around, and it'd be sunny at various points on the horizion. Then I'd look up and see a big grey cloud and it would be pouring rain over us. Bah, good thing we were driving. Got to Red Deer. Did the store and went to Earls. Yeah, that's about the best part of Red Deer was Earls. The girls were pretty good lookin there. About on par with the Brampton Hooters (yes that's my benchmark). Food there was great, had the Kung Pao noodles. Try it if you are out there, it's really good. (as I'm writing this the Spurs just won the NBA title....anybody care? thought not, basketball blows).

Lethbridge: Toys R Us had the brilliant idea of letting us do a 5 hour drive from Red Deer to Lethbridge (think Toronto to Montreal people) drive sucked. Went to Moxies for dinner. Meh it was average. Lethbridge is a nice town though. Good place to retire if you are old I guess. Climate is dry down there (ok people, I'm trying to find nice things to say about this place, because it's really boring). Yeah that's about it.

In other news, the next SRL race is scheduled for Monday June 23rd @ prokart. DP and The Professor are unable to make it tommrow, and the message wouldn't have been out quick enough so we'll take the extra week break. Oh yeah DP YOU STILL OWE ME MONEY!

June 14, 2003

Back from my tour of Alberta. It's nice to go out West and get a change of scenery. Really really nice areas. I'll recap my tour city by city.

Edmonton: This was where we landed after a 4 hour flight from Toronto. The airport is 20 minutes away from the city. So getting out of the airport and heading up Hwy 2, we saw lots of nothing. Get to the hotel then do the first store upgrade. Get our work done by 8 which gives us an hour until close (time when we can finish our project) alright, time to get some food. But where? There's this restaurant out west called Earls. One of the guys I work with rants and raves about this place saying it's better than Hooters (yeah like that's possible). So I go inside and I realize what he's been talking about. The best way to describe this place would be: hooters with class and about the same price. It was a restaurant that looked nice on the inside (nothing too fancy) but with waitresses that could have easily all been the hotest at the Brampton Hooters (yes Boost Monkey, they were that hot!) So a dinner at Earls and we finish the store. Come back to the hotel grab a few beers and sleep.

Next morning we wake up and do another store. Finish by 10 so we got until roughly 7pm free time. Grab some breakfast then it's off to do some sight seeing. We head out to West Edmonton Mall. At first I thought the place wasn't much bigger than Square one, until we realized that we were just in the small wing of the mall. Get down the main alley of the place and we find out it was freaking huge! They got an indoor saltwater tank that has a few submarines, dolphins, a pirate ship and tons of fish. They got an amusment park in there with a roller coaster. Also they got a huge waterpark with a full size wave pool, a bunch of slides and a glass cieling. This place is massive. They got a row of restaurants with a Boston Pizza, Hooters, Old Spaghetti factory and a bunch of other places I don't remember.

Next we went to the Skyreach Center to see the Wayne Gretzky statue (you gotta see it once). Got there parked the car, and took a couple pictures (once I get them I'll post them here). Took my picture next to it when I looked inside SkyReach. Then I tug on the door (well WTF right? I'm this close why not try). To my suprise the door opens. I'm in the skyreach center concourse right now. Well if I'm in the place, why not go see the seats, what's the worst thing that will happen to me? I get kicked out of the place, not like I've ever had Oilers tickets before. I get in and to my amazement, the place is open today because they are having a select a seat promo for their season ticket holders! WTF are the odds of that happening? Sweet, so I check out all the seats from the very top row to right down at ringside level. Pretty sweet eh? Then I get down to the premium concourse level (it had a name, but I forget it). Get down there and right up to the freakin oilers dressing room (you know those two mirrored doors with the oilers logo on it?) Door was locked, but I was right outside it. Then I look behind me and I notice the boards are open, meaning I can get right onto the ice (well it was concrete right now, but you get the idea). Man, I made the same walk Wayne and the Oilers dynasty did from the mid to late 80's onto the ice. Walked right up the net where Grant Fuhr played so many games from. Right to the spot of the infamous own goals that cost the Oilers the series against the Flames. Walked behind the net where Wayne did so much of his magic. Man that place was cool!

Alright enough of an update for today, I'll post the rest later including trips to Red Deer, Lethbridge, Calgary and Banff.

June 04, 2003

SACCHETTI, Giuseppe ''Joe'' _ Peacefully in his sleep on May 31st, 2003 at Brampton Memorial Hospital, Joe at the age of 57 years. Beloved husband of Anna. Loving father of John, Mary-Anne and Danny. Loving brother of Lina, Domenic and John. Son in law of Domenico and Maria Maurantonio. Also missed by his cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, poker buddies, his co-workers at Gentleman's Choice, and friends and partners at Woodbine Race Track. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home ''Brampton Chapel'', 52 Main Street South (Hwy. 10), Brampton on Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 4th, 2003 at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church (66A Main St. South, Brampton) at 11 a.m. Interment Meadowvale Cemetery.

In case you were wondering why I haven't blogged in a while, my father passed away last week and I haven't felt like blogging. Today was the funeral and it was tough to see him one last time before they closed the casket. I'm gonna take some time off blogging and review things. Thankfully I'm heading out west this Sunday so maybe a change of secenery will be what I need to heal. My dad was sick for the past 6 months, he went in on November 29th with what was at the time, "a minor stroke which lead to a seizure". He never recovered after they found cancer in his system. He was a good man, loved by many. He worked as a barber out of Brampton and one of the funeral home directors put it best to me yesterday when I was talking to him: We all weren't Joe's customers, we were all his friends. There were a couple other viewings in the funeral home last night, but by far my father had the most people come to his.

There were friends of his who knew so much about me, but I never met them. There were people I haven't seen in years and close friends that I always see who never even met my father. Thanks to everybody who sent their support to me.
