I'm back, with a little bit of a bigger update. Good to see the jays are gonna start playing again, so there will always be some sort of obscure stat to report on (ie. Jays are .593 when Roy Halladay farts more than 10 times on the mound). But that's all baseball is, a whole bunch of numbers and some beer mixed in. Nice to see the Jays are trash talking the Yankees before the season has even started. I can see a bench clearing brawl in the first inning!

My prediction for the Jays is 90-72. I see great things for this team this year (yeah, that's overly optomistic, but what are you going to do about it? The great thing about this years team is they have a good nucleus of guys under 26 years old in Eric Hinske, Shannon Stewart, Vernon Wells and Josh Phelps. My only worry with Hinske and Wells is they got too much money too quickly and won't have the same desire to play as they normally would. The pitching could use some help too. We'll soon find out if that's the case, but this team looks pretty dammed good this year.

Oh yeah, CST FC played a hard fought game, but in the end, only came out with a 2-2 tie. The good thing is that point moves us up to 5th place. Hopefully with the Nigerian Sniper back in the fold next Tuesday, we'll snap out of our scoring slump and put it to whoever we are playing.

Well, put this one under dumb referals. VET STUDENT PORN PHILLY! WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY SEARCHING FOR? You know, some things don't make sense...this is one of them.

Just remember, next time things get back, look bad or you may think just plain out are bad, you always got one thing to hold onto in life. Yes, this is what you can strive for boys and girls.
Man, I can't pay any attention at all in class today. Don't ask me why, I just can't. Ahh well, the key thing here is I'm trying right? Bah there has to be some good porn out there.
I'm gonna make this update short and sweet because I should really be getting to bed.

1) I own Dark Phoenix at FIFA. Period. (just for the record, he was beat so badly he forefited the third game).
2) I own Dark Phoenix at NHL 2K3. 3-0 Montreal over Toronto, at the end of the 2nd period, shots were 47-23 in favour of me. We didn't finish the 3rd period.
3) Wrestlemania was ok, it was nice to see Hogan win, but it really sucked that Booker T and Chris Jericho both lost (espically Booker T, I really wanted to see him win).

That is all. Night peoples!

Well, Mandrake 9.1 has been installed for 3 days, and my system still hasn't seen a windows boot yet. I'm a little disappointed that Wine didn't run Bottler at all (a msflxgrd.dll problem) but it did run Edit Plus for the most part (and it even made it look better too with the fonts and skins). I still haven't started using ICQ, but that's due to my laziness not any linux problems.

Today is the day of the big FIFA 2k3 grudge match between myself (duh) and Dark Phoenix. Last time these two titans competed against each other at FIFA Stu not only embarrassed Dark Phoenix, he made him cry like a little school girl that just dropped her juice box. In fact, Dark Phoenix was beaten so badly, Stu resorted to using Canada against Brazil. Now when Canada beats Brazil at soccer, there are some serious problems going on (yes I do remember the 1-1 tie in Edmonton circa 1994 but that was just a friendly).

So anyway, the best of 5 series is set to start in a couple of hours. Will Stu sweep Dark Phoenix, or will DP finally manage to get that elusive tie he's been looking for.

Following the big series, the Wrestle Mania tradition continues. After a brief pause last year to go see it live (at the Skydome) we are back in Dark Phoenix's basement for the event. Big screen, big sound, broken chair (hehe, had to put that one in there) big difference! Personally I'm looking forward to the Hulk Hogan - Vince McMahon match as well as Rock vs. Stone Cold. Here's to hoping that Booker T can beat Triple H (which I doubt will happen but I can cheer anyway).

So until tomorrow boys and girls, remember, only Stu can stop forrest fires!

Random Thought: How useful is dictionary.com if you can't spell dictionary?

March 29, 2003

Got sound working, seems some genius thought it would be a good idea to mute all the alsa sounds by default. Yeah, some people are geniuses.

So in the future as root from the command prompt, run alsamixer and pop up those levels bitch!
It's day 2 of Mandrake 9.1 and I can honestly say that I am not regretting at all installing this thing. When I installed it first, I thought that I'd try it for the weekend, then install Red Hat 9 on Monday (that's the release date). But now that I've used Mandrake 9.1 I can't turn away from it. The fonts are nice (not great, nice), default software is adaquate, shockwave works fine, MSN is working too (i'm gonna start using icq later today) and most importantly, this laptop just seems to run a whole lot smoother than it ever did with windows installed. Sure I miss being able to transfer files to friends (unless somebody can tell me how) and my sound isn't working at all (a bigger problem for most users than me since I normally have my speakers on mute).

So if somebody asked me if I'm happy with Mandrake, I'll say yes. Sure I'm gonna keep windows, but for basic school work and web browsing, I'm gonna use Mandrake a lot more than normal.

March 28, 2003

I just updated to Mandrake 9.1 and so far, so good. I'm really pleased with the new fonts that were packaged in as they are really easy to read (a huge improvement over 9.0 and 8.2). The new installer worked flawlessly (if it took a little longer than normal). Some pages don't display properly (but that's more of a function of people programming just for internet explorer instead of following standards) but for the most part I'm happy with it.

What really convinced me that this is something that I could use at home is the NTFS support. I was shocked to see that I could pull up information of my C drive in windows. So to answer your questions: yes, if you are a linux n00b, or you want a good distrobution, get mandrake 9.1.
Ever wonder what my page looks like in Italian? Somebody did a search for it.
You know what's a little freaky when you think about it, when you have a dream that references another dream from 2 months ago. It's like I have this whole other memory of stuff that I've experienced, but has never physically happend to me. Dream interpreters out there, what the hell does this mean and when do I check myself into some sort of instituion where they guy in the white jacket won't hurt me.

March 27, 2003

To kill the suspense, yes we did win 5-3 over whoever we were playing. I had a clean sheet in the second half (which is good) but I was a little shaking in the first (which is bad). We won (which is good) so I'll end the comments (which is bad).

I tried to get RAM today, but the store was closed. Ahh well, maybe I'll pick some up on Saturday or Tuesday. I really want that 512mb and now that I'm getting extra hours at work, I got no excuse not to. Still haven't found a co-op job yet (did I mention that I'm looking for one?) but I'll keep plugging away, something has to go my way soon (I still haven't even had an interview yet). So if you are looking for somebody with extensive blog experience as well as other stuff, e-mail stu!
Alright so the 1-5 CST FC has a game in 1 1/2 hours. If we can put 2 halves of soccer together, we have a good shot at winning. Although playing a second half has been a problem for us lately. We just seem to collapse after the 5 minute mark of the second half. This game will be different though, we got a full team and I'm ready to stop some shots on net!
Thanks to all those that did the Stu quiz, I hope you found it informative. Page has been loading up a little slower than normal lately, it might be the tag board, but I don't know. Stupid Internet Explorer, why does it download files to a temporary location then pop up a message?!? I'm trying to download the debian net install cd so I can put it on my laptop (I've had it with mandrake, time to try something different).

Work's been pretty good to me lately. I come into work today (5 minutes before I start) and I see the boss talking to the manager. Boss says I've been meaning to talk to you Stu. Right here I think this must be good because he's not asking me to his office. He says he heard how good a co-op I was (I'm trying to figure out where that rumor started) and he wants to know if I'm willing to put in some extra hours to do level 2 support!

Woohoo! Man I was happy after I heard that, I said sure of course, so now I'll be working 24 hours per week, up from the 14 hours I was previously at. This should leave me with enough money to finnaly buy some extra ram for my desktop, and maybe even a new hard drive (mmm, finnaly be able to store porn!).

Anyways, I'm off to install debian while playing battlefield 1942 (did i mention desert combat mod looks pretty damm sweet?)

Vote here for what you think is the best championship. Contestants are: World Series, Stanely Cup Playoffs, NBA playoffs, NCAA Final 4, NCAA Frozen 4, Superbowl and oddly enough, World Cup (I don't understand why it's there either). This nut from ESPN page 2, seems to think the World Seires is the best (I don't know why the World Cup is compared to the other events since it's held once every 4 years).

Personally, I think the best tournament is the Stanely Cup (I'm not including the world cup) for one reason only: triple overtime sudden death games. That's one thing baseball will never get....same basketball (I'm going to ignore the NBA tournament because it sucks...WTF is up with 5 game first rounds anyway?) or football. It's unique to hockey. The team that wins the stanley cup, more often than not, is the team that wants it the most. Baseball you can ride a hot streak through 2 series. In the case of football, the results show that teams with the bye week always due better than the ones without. Basketball well, it's basketball--the team that has the least amount of players playing high wins. Not to mention the NBA tournament had a 5 day break between games last year where as NHL was played every other night.

That's just my opinion vote for yourself or post a one line tag on the side.
Well after many many sellouts last nights SRL: UNSANCTIONED went on! Needless to say the intensity just wasn't there until the semifinals. Over at prokart, the race setups are a little different. For a mere $35 we got 10 practice laps, 10 qualifying laps, and 3 races of 10-15 laps. Boost Monkey and myself showed up to race at 7:30 only to find out that the event won't start for another 45 minutes. Upon inspection of the track, we realized that they modified it so Stu wouldn't have the unfair skill advantage that he normally possesses over less skilled drivers. The new track layout involved one sweeping right hand turn where we could get up to about 42 km/h before turning sideways. After the long turn, there are two sharp right hand turns (almost a wide hairpin), followed by a pair of lefts and another hairpin right before we hit the straight/sweeping right turn. That last turn would turn out to be my undoing.

FLASHBACK, December 4th 2002. Stu racing in the grand final at prokarts is in 5th place and making a really hard charge for 4th. Stu dives to the inside of a slower 4th place car (who should have been shown the blue flag). Stu's tire clips the retaining wall and gets stuck. Stu's race is over. With this memory fresh in my mind, I try my best to erase that mental image and once and for all prove that I am the best (actually that doesn't need to be proven because we all know it's true).

Anyways practice race #1. I slide everywhere. I'm taking turns wide. I'm driving like Boost Monkey after a non-alcoholic beer. Qualifying session #1, and the racing gods that be decide to throw me a curve ball in the form of car #20. For those that don't know, normally the engine is on the right side of the car, but in #20, the engine is on the left. This contributed to me spinning out in the middle of that fast turn for no real reason. Hardly the type of qualifying I wanted.

Race #1 (quater finals)I had a normal car, but just couldn't find the right passing spot. Finished 6th out of 7 drivers. Race #2 (semi finals) I begin to find my stride again. After a pre-race talk with Boost Monkey we both come to the conclusion that the intensity is just not there. Well the semi finals I started racing like I was supposed to again. I started 6th and finished 4th. Boost Monkey dropped a couple positions in that race (he doesn't really matter anyway). So by the end of the 2nd race, Booth Monkey and myself are seperated by only one point going into the grand finale.

Well the final grid comes up. And as luck would have it, I'm starting 7th, while Boost Monkey starts 4th. The odds are against me, and I know I'm gonna have to race my butt off to have any kind of a chance of winning tonights point race. So the green flag drops, I look inside the slight bend, nothing. First shart turn right there is an opening, I take advantage of the opportunity and sneak right in, and shut off the car going into the next turn. We go in formation for a lap. Comming into the first left hander of the second lap, Boost Monkey and a guy he's fighting with both take the turn wide, in a daring and heroic move, I pass them both to move up to 4th. Unbelievable, in 2 laps I've passed 3 cars! Stu is on a tear! Through lap 5, I'm battling with the lead pack, occasionally bumping the car in front of me to let him know I'm there.

Then the unthinkable happens, going into the last hairpin before the straight away, cars 1 and 2 get tied up. Car 3 follows them into the corner. Stu has nowhere to go, I suffer from break failure (these breaks couldn't stop Boost Monkey from going to a chip and dales club). I plow right into the back of car 3. Ouch, that hurt. Car 5 rams right into me knocking me into the wall. Boost Monkey and the car he was travelling with make it through fine. In a weird twisted way, I help boost monkey to the front of the field (he'd never have managed to get there without me). End result is I am stuck in the wall, it takes 2 laps for the safety crew to get me out and I end up in last...again. That race was mine. Ahh well. That was my night.

March 24, 2003

Seems like redeisgn week is just about over. The latest to redesign their page is Boost Monkey. I like it (just don't view it unless you got Internet Explorer because it'll suck in Mozilla and is ok in opera...unlike my page which is compatible with most browsers (I'm working on Lynx support as we speak).
It's monday, and that only means one thing: RACE DAY!!!! Woo hoo hoo! We are gunning to be there at 7:15 (Race starts at 7:30 tonight). I'm undefeated at Pro Kart so winning again shouldn't be a problem at all for me.

March 23, 2003

3rd update of the day! Yes it's the kind of a day!

First off some good news. Google ranked me the 16th most loveable page on it's index of loveable pages! Can't say I blame them, but I'm a little dissapointed I ranked so low. I thought I'd be top 5 for sure. Although I am #2 in Canada so all is good. Although winning a golden testical award would be...well, I don't know what it would be, I just don't want a golden one (I've got 2 that are more than adaquate, 3's a crowd after all).

Ok, some searches on the internet are bad, but searching for Stu Porn? If you click on my counter you'll see that some idiot actually came to my site expecting that kind of filth. Note to Boost Monkey: YOU WILL NOT SEE ME IN A PORN!

All this updating is making me hungry. Maybe I'll get myself some C3P0's, or how about some smurf pasta...right in the smurfin kitchen! Or maybe an oreo or two -- DOUBLE STUFFED! Damm my links suck today. But I lie awake at night wondering how laser tag never held its popularity. Man I wonder how this speak and spell commerical isn't made fun of more often. Get some more 80's commercials here.

And if that's not enough, there is yet another leach trying to live off the fame that I have created out of the name StuGautz! Some people just don't have any creativity at all!

Tommrow is the big SRL @ prokarts race. Excited? I am. I'm undefeated on a track that really tests the skill of each individual driver. Unlike at Formula Kartways or 401 Mini Indy, Prokarts forces you into different cars. The advantage of this obviously is that there is no "Car 15 effect". The Car 15 Effect (or c1e for those that like short forms) means one racer (normally not Stu) gets a car that is much much faster than the rest of the pack and therefore runs away with it (and subsequently runs their mouth off to anybody in Columbia that will give him the time of day).

Racing 4 or 5 different races with a different car each time means that you can not have the hot car for all races and therefore must show your best time out on the track! You see how better a way of determining drivers skill it is? Just in case you didn't know, last time Stu went on that track, he single handedly destroyed both Sw0rdFish and Boost Monkey. He hummiliated both of them to the point that Sw0rdFish didn't want to race anymore and Boost Monkey gave me the coveted lice filled helmet (that trophy was on display in the back of my closet for 4 months!)

So you see boys and girls, the moral of the story is I am faster than you. Now lets race!
While doing a search for something entirely unrelated, I stumbled across the how to write like a wanker page. Pretty funny stuff when you consider how much of it is true. The author forgot to add in when you are messaging people, use LOL at the end of every sentence...even if it's for your own joke. Because everybody laughs out loud a lot while on MSN.
It's Sunday, I'm still at work and the site looks good in linux. Ahh well, except for the work part things aren't too bad. I got programming to do today, but I just found out how useful a tool webmin is in Linux so I'm kinda off track. Why can't windows have something like that? Quick loading and easy to navigate, everything control panel wishes it was. The web based interface is really cool, I think it's the wave of the future.

March 21, 2003

No links in this update but a good story. Woke up at 10:45 for a 12pm soccer game. Sw0rdFish called my cell about 4 times but idiot me had it on vibrate from last night when I went to applebees for Victor's going away party (gonna miss guy). I finnaly decide to look at my phone as I'm about to leave the house -- 11:45. See 4 missed calls and decide now is a good time to give Sw0rdFish (the team captain) a call. Get to the game, and for the most part, the 1-1 halftime score was really good. Second half will not be talked about since there isn't much worth talking about (other than Sw0rdFish trying to play the role of enforcer).

After the game, I thought we could use some toughness so I drafted the one and only Boost Monkey (lets see them try to push him around!). 1pm I think I need a shower. But I decide against it. Food is more important. 1:15 I had some south american food for lunch...wait Taco's are Mexican, that's central american. Anyways, 2pm I go to class (conviently without a laptop). Teacher announces he's leaving us after next week (something about being gay was his reason). That's when I figure it's a good time to get my laptop.

On the way to pick it up I stop by the ITSC to see if Victor was still around. Nope he left, so I follow The Professor and Boost Monkey into Tim Hortons, which leads to a game of jitz then a second game, then a third game. But then I realized there is no point in going back to class so I go home. I decide I got some time to kill before I got downtown for the liquidation sale.

It took me 1 1/2 hours to get downtown. Normally, it takes me 25 minutes! Well the line at the convention center snaked it's way outside the building. While in line I call my two sources on the inside, Sw0rdFish and -Mike. (about 10 calls combined to the two of them heheheh) and ask them whats going on. Sw0rdFish tells me it's a ripoff and not worth the $10. I'm like ok whatever so I leave (knowing that the $99 xbox advertised was too good to be true) and go to hooters.

At hooters, it took 10 minutes for the waitress to come talk to us, 5 minutes to get my drinks, and 7 minutes to get food. I was like WTF food has never come before the forks and knives, I could get used to this downtown hooters location! (note boost monkey it might be quicker to go downtown and eat than the brampton location).
Well as we are waiting for the waitress to take our money, I feel some vibrations. -Mike. is calling telling me that they are giving refunds. I'm like cool, do the 5 minute walk from hooters to the convention center to get $10 then I head down to the ACC to see some Toronto Rock Lacrosse.

Toronto beat Philly 12-9 I think. Anyways the game was pretty good. So I walk back to my car (with the $8 parking...yeah on Front Street -Mike., Ed and Yan) and drop off Hairy Greek and UltraCaker at their house and come home to play some Battle Field. That's my day.
Ok, it's the morning after the update and I'm not spammed with bring back your old design messages which is good. I added my counter and link back to blogger on my page so we should all be happy once again.
Woohoo, page has been redesigned. Took a template of blog skins and modified it to keep some elements of the original color scheme. Now the tag box actually looks readable! I got more room to grow too now. Archives will be put up tommrow as they are kinda important for navigation purposes, but this is the new site! Comments are appreciated as you can now e-mail me at the bottom of each post.
Watched some CNN converage of the war. I don't know about you guys, but unless some 16 year old girl is taking off her top, I can't watch a webcam. Although CNN seems to think that I really do wanna see the front lines through a webcam. As of writing this message the big story is was Saddam involved with the bombing. CNBC seemed to come to a consensus that yes he was bombed, medical attention was called, but Saddam wasn't killed. I'm sure you have all seen the latest video of Saddam with his glasses on talking (which I believe is a body double, just an opinion regardless of what the experts say). I was funny to hear the guys on CNBC make fun of the way he wears his beret on his head. I didn't think you could make fun of a leader like that. But yet again I've been proved wrong.

Another funny quote I heard was the US millitary took over the only port city that Iraq has. I mean why bother having a port city if you are only going to have one? US casualties as of writing this: 4, Britian, 12. I love how these hellicopters just fall out of the sky without being shot at. It's one of those things that make you go hmmm. It's a casualty, but not due to enemy fire.

Random thought: Is there any cooler job to have than the fully decked out millitary guy patrolling the airport/train station? Think a girl would have the courage to shoot you down if you have a fully automatic MP5 in your hand? I like those odds!

Alright, CNBC's coverage has gone ghey again. I don't mind them with their financials at the bottom, but do we really need 3 different tickers at the bottom along with two on the right and side. I'm switching back to CNN (ugh). OMG, CNN is back to actual video cameras, I think they read my blog (before it was published) and realized how much that those crappy webcams sucked.

No other great headline today on cnn.com (they don't deserve to be linked) other than 'Shock and awe' phase of war on hold. Hmm you guys possibly injured their leader so you don't want to disorient them any more??? Yeah, I'd love to hear that reasoning Mr. Powell. How much would it suck to get the assignment on the outskirts of Iraq? You obviously aren't thought highly enough to be put in the country but yet at the same time you are close to Iraq instead of at home. Good thing I'm not in the news media (although if an opening comes by, I'm all game for it!).

Later all, I've gone on long enough.

March 20, 2003

Thursday morning, I got SQL to do and my mother took the vehicle with my parking pass. Damm I hate leaving for school early. Ahh well what's the Sheridan College Ping Pong champ to do? You didn't know I won the title last night in a 21-18 slaughtering of the professor? Well let's just say that I am now king of the world....err ping pong. Heheh, I rule! The final score is actually a little flattering to the Professor (who has a freshly redesigned website) because at one point I had an 18-9 lead so I decided to go easy on him (he's been known to cry after getting his ass whipped).

In other news, I also won the Open Ice title yesterday defeating sw0rdfish 10-9 in overtime. It was a come from behind victory by my Winnipeg Jets (yes that's right the J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!!!!) over his Montreal Canadiens (game is so old, Roy is still their goaltender). A rematch is scheduled for sometime very soon. Needless to say the outcome will probably be the same (Hmm, if I use the Nordiques we could have the battle of Quebec again!).

March 19, 2003

And this one under worst propoganda headline ever:

Allies drop leaflets: Iraqis surrender
File this one under owned by your cable company! It'd be funny if this happend to satilite users too! I wouldn't mind going to a bar like this one. Mmm camera phone perv pics!

March 18, 2003

Reading Justin's website (I haven't forgotten about you bud!) I laughed at his most recent blog. Somebody posted what they say instead of what they write. n00b, don't they know they are supposed to have a students only message board to post crap like that? And what's with this USENET thingy? I thought that died the same day as GOPHER or the day after rogers took over the usenet feeds from @home (true file leaches will get the reference).

Now onto this war with Iraq, where do I stand? Simple, I am all for getting rid of Saddam, but do we really need 250,000 people? Wouldn't the money being spent on sending those troops down there be better spent on buying me some strippers and beer? But seriously, the man has got to go. I don't buy this whole he's developing weapons of mass destruction thing, but that's just me. He doesn't deserve to be in power and the US is doing the right thing by going in without the approval of other countries who are too afraid to make a decision about anything. Sure the US likes the Iraqi oil, but so what? You don't think the citizens of Iraq won't like US money? Saudi Arabia has no problem with it. What really gets me are these anti-US protesters decked out in nothing but american clothing, listening to american music, and watching american tv. Yeah right, you really hate the country (I think I already posted this thought but ahh well, yes I did on March 12). So in other words, I'm on the side of Boost Monkey. I like American TV and American pr0n!

What's really funny about this war is the propoganda comming out of CNN. Here's my favorite headline: U.S. official: Iraqi troops not eager to fight That's not what Saddam is saying. That is all. Later!
Even though I'm not a fan of award shows (is your self confidence that low that you need somebody to tell you that your piece of music/television/movies is good? I thought paycheques did that) here is a Oscar's pool for you guys to join.

Next time you stop by, don't forget to tag my message board so I know you were here. It's on the left hand column. This page really needs a redesign.
Sorry for the short update, but it seems The Professor has some personal issues that need to be dealt with, and I was too busy laughing.

March 17, 2003

One of these days I'm gonna fix my blogger template so it looks good inside linux. Right now, Mozilla renders the page horribly. Damm I'm contributing to the Microsoft domminance. Ahh well.

March 16, 2003

Second day of the back to back workshift is in full swing. Other than waking up, the day is pretty easy. It's 11:05 am meaning I've been at work for 3 hours already. Only 6 hours left, minus 1 hour lunch meaning 5 hours to get my C assignment done. It seems that my program has decided to give up on casting an integer to a float instead resetting the value to zero. I let that slide so I'll have to talk to J. Sant tommrow about it. Other than that, the program seems to be running pretty smooth.

March 15, 2003

Amazying what some people say about you when you leave the room for 10 minutes! That's the last time I turn a 5 minute coffee run into a 30 minute break!
Beware The Ides Of March!
It's a Saturday morning and I'm at work. Normally I would be upset, but something funny when I went to Harvey's for breakfast this morning. There was a serbian chick behind the counter that actually spoke english! WTF is up with that? I thought that in order to work at harvey's, you had to speak with some strange accent from a country that may or may not exist. Either way, I'm not complaining!

March 14, 2003

March 14, got a test in a couple hours and then it's the weekend. In my endless quest for money I accepted a Saturday shift (in addition to a Sunday shift) not realizing how much it sucks to work 2 days in a row. Ahh well what to do? St. Pat's day is on Monday, I guess I know where the extra money I earn on Saturday is going too. Woohoo! Green beer. I've never had it before, but there's a first for everything I guess. It'll be interesting to try the taste and see how much I like it. From what I've heard it tastes exactly the same as regular beer...it's just green. Then there's Irish cream. I haven't had that in a long time. I've tried guiness a few times and don't like it. But the bubbles falling instead of rising is pretty cool.

Oh yeah, for you passw0rd wh0res that want everything handed to you, just go to this message board and vote for them on their top 100 list.

As 10pm passed I rememberd that I didn't update my blog today. But after I logged into blogger.com I realized that I did...at 2am this morning. So now I don't feel bad.
It's 2:15am and normally I'd be asleep right now but I'm having nightmares about pub (no, I didn't see any fat chicks, but the Professor blowing off a fat chick so he could eat two (2) classic triple burgers from wendy's is ironic in it's own way). Somebody stole my beer at the pub! I put my drink down on a table so that I can insert money into the pool table, push change through, go back to the table and my beer was missing!

WHAT KIND OF PERSON WOULD STEAL A BEER THAT I BACKWASHED INTO? That's the exact reason I backwash into my beer. For situations like this. I figure if you want to steal my beer, you better like the taste of Stu spit, because that's what you'll be drinking! That anger from the beer carried over into my pool game where I blew 1 easy game but rallied to win the second one! We'll not talk about my adventures in jitz as my anger from the lack of beer carried over.

I'm gonna get some sleep now, I got no classes tommrow (woohoo!)

Almost forgot to begin my leaf rant. I don't mind the leafs getting Gilmour from Montreal, but what really pisses me off will be the 10,000 Doug Gimour jerseys that are 10 years old and skin tight on fat people. It's going to be disgusting to see all this. These are jerseys that should have been retired a long long time ago. I mean seriously, does anybody see me wear my Barry Sanders jersey anymore? No, he hasn't played for 4 years and he's not going to play. I say if a player doesn't wear a specific jersey (and this goes for redesigned uniforms too) for 4 years, you are not allowed to wear it in public anymore. Pickup games of a particular sport are acceptable because you shouldn't be wearing normal clothes there anyway. But not in public. Sorry, 10 year old leaf jerseys should not be worn in public. Same with those hideous yellow canuck jerseys. Thank god nobody around Toronto likes that team because I wanna vomit every time I see them walk around in public with one of those things on.

And what's with this whole retro jersey fad that's sweeping rap videos. I mean yes you are poor, yes you just got a big contract but for gods sake look at what you are wearing! There is a reason nobody touched those jerseys in 20 years. THEY ARE UGLY. GROW SOME FUCKING BRAINS. Damm, talking to Robb made me lose my train of thought. Why do I even bother talking to people. And what's with these homos that peak their head into a window, have everybody stare at them then walk in the room?

What about those people that say they hate America? Dude if you hate the country soo much, don't wear any type of clothing that is made by corporations from that country. Don't watch American TV at night, don't view American websites, and most importantly don't bitch unless you are going to do anything about it. Otherwise shut your mouth and fall in line!
After talking to minority members of the SRL, a private vote was held with greater than 50% of the SRL members in place and it was agreed that due to a lack of SRL turnout, Monday nights results will not be allowed to count in the SRL standings. Ahh well, sorry to those who had fast times, looks like you guys are SOL!

But onto serious matters, we are looking at either a March 24th or March 31st date for the next big SRL event @ Pro Kart. The reason I like prokart is they do all the work so there is no argument over who the true winner is after the race. $35 entrance fee + $5 membership (if you don't already have it). Trust me, it's worth it because you get a full night of racing in, and around 100 laps on the track. Registration ends at 7:30 so be there on time and be preparted to spend your whole night there (last time we left the track, it was midnight and since I'm not organizing it, if you are late, you are on your own). You also get a couple slices of pizza and a pop for showing up.

As the seconds until green flag grow closer and closer the tension builds up. Seems that there'll be 2 distinct racing leagues fighting for supremacy tonight: the SRL vs. DSM. Not only will I be racing against other people, I'll also be defending the league I founded. It's about pride this time around and I can't let my league down. Of course seeing how my league partners do against foreign competition will also be interesting. It'll be a snapshot as to how hard I've pushed the league members and a true test of the eliteness of my league. That'll be a pretty good feeling to join a foreign message board, post how I'm a better racer than anybody there and promptly get myself as well as boost monkey banned for knowing me. WOOHOO!
Added a permanent link to bottler servers.ini on my template now. I saw people were searching for it a lot and I don't want to be accused of false searches.
Monday morning, learning file handling in C. Hmm, sounds interesting and I'm picking it up pretty quickly, but as J.Sant said earlier "All this programming you've been doing is basically the same as before just with different syntax". In other words, we aren't learing anything new. That's a news flash to me. Actually it isn't, but you get the idea. Fuck, it's been about 2 years since I've programmed in VB and I don't miss it one bit. Designing forms really sucked, I hated it. That's why I use Java or C/C++. I tried to teach myself PERL, but found out I have no use for it, so I just leave it on my resume having never written any perl code myself.

I gotta learn VB script to (when I say learn, I mean find a use for). Like setting a VB script up to kill all processes assigned to an active user (including explorer) so when I start BF1942, I am running as few programs as possible. That's the one good thing about XP, I can kill the explorer process before I start a game. Hmm maybe I'll do that when I get home....yeah, and DarkPheonix has a chance of winning tonights race! HAHAHAHA. No links in this update as I haven't been browsing the interweb today. Man I have some serious gas right about now. I should get somebody to pull my finger, or failing that, go up to the most annoying person in class (ok second most annoying since I am the most annoying) pretend to care about how they are doing, let one rip and silently leave the room. That'd be good, but it's been done before.

Stupid roll up the rim to win, I didn't get nothing from it (kinda like a jewish girl). I drank my first coffee today from Tim Hortons in about 3 weeks. That's a pretty good streak I had going. Honestly I don't know why I drink coffee, there's not much point to it. There's more caffeine in tea anyways. They should have roll up the rim for orange juice. That stuff actually gives me energy. When I wake up in the morning, I reach for my orange juice before I take a shower. I've never heard anybody complain of orange juice breath. I've heard complaints of coffee breath before. Orange Juice has vitamin c. Coffee has vitamin nothing. In fact, I'm going to give up coffee for the next 40 days! Boys and girls, I've just just drank my last coffee. Watch me give it up in spite of everybody else in this room! Enjoy your coffee suckers. Damm this blog has gone on for a while today. I've been writing to it on and off for the last hour. That's why there is no order to this entry today. It's good that I write this because all you working suckers have something to read as you avoid the Monday monring blues.
It's Sunday Night/Monday morning, 12am and I'm about ready to do some homework (pauses for a laugh). Here's to hopeing that I'll be in tommrow's race as due to some family issues I'm questionable (that means there's a 50% chance of me going). I'll know more about the situation Monday afternoon. But if I had to give you a yes or no right now, it'd be a yes.

In a link ripped from The Professor's site, it seems that according to some mysterious calculations, I'll will die Sunday April 3, 2061, at age of 80. Well if that's the case I'll have had a good run and some grand kids. I'm most likely to die as an in patient of heart disease. If my blog is still around then we'll see if it holds true or not. I see myself living well into my 90's, but that's just me.

Hmm, what else to say? It's been freaking cold so far this year. To put it in perspective of how cold it's been, this time last year the temperature was 10 degrees outside. It's minus 10 today. Yeah it's been coooold and snowy. I don't know about you guys, but I don't hate the cold and snow. I like it. Water always tastes better when it's freezing outside (reason being bacteria doesn't reproduce as quickly), there aren't any bugs to bite your nuts off, homeless people and squeegee kids aren't as abundant as hot weather, you don't sweat as much therefore you stink less therefore you shower less, it's a good reason to put on the fireplace and watch a fire, I don't feel guilty playing games for 3 hours straight, when the snow is on the ground night isn't as dark as it normally is, I love driving down my street with snowbanks that are high along it, and nothing beats seeing a white morning.

Who here likes GTA 3? Who has it for the PC? Why haven't you tried Multiplayer yet?
New internet speed record. The equivalent of 2 DVD's in about a minute. Just think of the pornabilities.

March 06, 2003

Who: StuGautz, Sw0rdFish, Dark Pheonix, Boost Monkey, and anybody else with the balls to show up
What: March Madness
When: Monday Night, 8pm
Where: 401 Mini Indy
Why: All about pride this time

Yup boys and girls that's all the info you need for March Madness. Location has been finalized, Racers have been (sort of) finalized, time is set and let the trash talking begin. This is going to be one big race to end all races. Whoever wins here will be unbeaten in 2003. Whoever loses will go home crying like a little school girl. The stakes are high, the action is intense, the speed is insane (ok maybe not insane, but at least relativley fast). To the winner goes all the spoils, the loser gets to know they aren't worthy of driving again. Who will win?
Bah, just noticed that blogger fucked up my page. Reposting to see if it's fixed now.
In news that's sure to kill the hopes of any nVidia head out there that thinks nVidia still makes a fast video card, check out the geForce FX comparison to the new Radeon 9800. I think you'll be happy to notice it can't hold a stick to it. But don't tell anybody from nVidia about that, they are still waiting for their saviour to come.

March 05, 2003

Mmmm, dinner.

Those that go to Sheridan know about WebCT, the most useless internet website on earth (well second after mine of course). Well seems that for Stu another first has happend, you see boys and girls, Stu is the only person (that I know of) in the history of WebCT to have a post deleted! Yup, I'm just that special. And the post was (relativley) clean.

Shut up Justin, I'll throw a football at your head!

THAT WAS IT! Can you believe the Nazi's that we got in this school! I can't believe this. If people had actually gone to WebCT I might be upset, but we all know the true message board for Sheridan students is CST Crew (to which I am a founding member of).

March 04, 2003

Well, it finnaly has happend, somebody has pattented trash.
Well seems as if Sw0rdFish has finnaly admitted to defeat at Formula Kartways. Well it's a shame that I have to retire that track as well, but going to sleep knowing that nobody will EVER beat my lap time at Formula Kartways is good enough for me. Time to find a new track. Any suggestions people?

March 03, 2003

It's official, due to lack of organization on my part (I really need to start return phone-calls) we have moved up the inaugural SRL race to Monday March 10, 8pm at Formula Kartways. This year looks to be as good as last years was.

Confirmed for March Madness (hey that's a good ripoff name) are:

Defending SRL champion, SRL record holder, SRL founder, SRL commissioner, SRL Best Looking Driver, SRL Rookie of the year, SRL most outstanding driver and SRL reporter -- ME

Perennial Second Place Finisher -- Dark Phoenix
Oldest man to ever race in the SRL -- Boost Monkey.
Tallest Driver -- Talon Boy also has expressed interest in showing up next Monday night for the big race.

Most Annoying racer ever -- The Professor is also listed as possible for the next round of races.
Sw0rdFish -- If he ever decides to break the boycott of Formula Kartways, he's welcome to show up, but we all know the real reason is he's afraid to be beaten by Stu once again.

Why isn't your name on the list? Track is tentative, I'm open for another ProKart tournament race if the other racers want to go on it, or 401 Mini Indy if Boost Monkey deems the track good enough to race on it again.

Come to think of it, my old record lap of 33.22 was never beaten in SRL action. Of course after listening to Sw0rdFish claim he's faster than me and that he should have been listed on top of the power rankings charts, we changed venues to ProKart, where I laid a beating never seen before in SRL action. I was lightning quick on a slippery track that nobody had raced on before. Needless to say, Sw0rdFish has never asked for a rematch. He was horribly demoralized after that race. Rumors had it that Sw0rdFish was caught crying over his jetta.

Boost Monkey went on to do an endurance race and did pretty good at it. Dark Phoenix went on to buy a new computer. As for The Professor...well he's a co-op once again so defeat is almost predetermined in his case.

Man that was a big update.

March 02, 2003

Well that's it, due to overwelming demand, SRL is back in business! We must decide on a date/time/location for the monthly race. If 5 people get back to me on Monday we'll head out to Formula Kartways for Monday night racing. Otherwise, we are looking towards something on Monday March 10, 8pm Formula Kartways.
File this one in the "yeah and I did 4 porn stars last night column". But France says there is no anti american sentiment in their country.
Here's a link to a site with a bottler server.ini file. One thing I don't like about these big server files is the amount of simultaneous connections going on. 172 is just a little too much for my liking, but that's just me.

March 01, 2003

I'm back from the falls...in one piece. Man that was a good night down there, lots of shit went on that I don't feel like typing up right now, but highlight of the night goes to Yan for running head first into a solid wood door (that bump on his head was priceless). Fuck for some reason my stomach is upset right now, I've had major gas since this morning, I don't know if it was the breakfast I had this morning (Mmm free rasin bran), or the whopper I had last night. Either way be happy there isn't a match next to my butt because there'd be some nice flame balls right now.
